legal entity

Legal entity is a partnership, corporation, or other organization having the capacity to negotiate contracts, assume financial obligations, and pay off debts, organized under the laws of some jurisdiction. (FIBO) Legal entity is characterised in GLEIS by its reference data, enabling its identification.
The Entity container element contains the legal entity's reference data, enabling identification.

The legal form of the entity, taken from the ISO Entity Legal Form (ELF) code list maintained by GLEIF. Please note that the XML schema validates for all Legal Form values conforming to the ISO 20275 standard (section "Code Structure"); four uppercase alphanumeric characters in any combination except for purely numeric codes. Some possible combinations may not be valid Entity Legal Form (ELF) entries.

Legal name of the entity transliterated to ASCII characters, provided by the entity for this purpose.

A primary legal name previously used by the legal entity.

The surviving/new legal entity which continues/replaces this registration. The successor entity does not have LEI. So the name of the successor entity is assigned.
tradingOrOperatingName

A "trading as", "brand name" or "operating under" name currently used by this entity in addition to, but not replacing, the (primary) legal, official registered name.
transliteratedOtherEntityName
rdf:PlainLiteral xsd:string
ASCII-transliterated (i.e. Latin- or Romanized) representation of a name for the legal entity. It is an optional.
address An address of the legal entity
associatedEntityWithLEI The property assigns the entity with LEI associated with the legal entity of this registration.
entityCategory Assignes to a legal entity its category. These categories are based on use cases specified in LEI-ROC policies, found at http://www.leiroc.org/list/leiroc_gls/index.htm (LEI-CDF V2.0)
